Omnibus III Self-Paced Complete
Details
The Omnibus III Complete package includes both the Omnibus III Primary and Omnibus III Secondary Self-Paced Courses, plus all required curriculum (both literature/reading books and Omnibus Student Text and Downloadable Teacher Material).
Omnibus III Primary - GREAT BOOKS FROM MODERN TIMES Omnibus III Primary Books has students study foundational American documents, The Pilgrim’s Progress, A Tale of Two Cities, Biblical books and many more in 175 engaging lessons. Students will work at their own pace, interacting with the material, learning from Bruce Etter, long-time expert instructor who teaches from many of the sites where events from the books occurred. Students will hear what the world thinks through street interviews, then be drawn back to Scripture and what God says. Omnibus III Secondary - A JOURNEY THROUGH THE MODERN CLASSICS The Omnibus III Secondary Books course complements the primary books course with 105 engaging lessons, providing a combined balance of history, theology and literature. Yet, it is a remarkable journey that can be taken on its own. Students study Animal Farm, Foxe’s Book of Martyrs, Gulliver’s Travels and many more in this exciting collection of timeless works.
Students will work at their own pace, interacting with the material and learning from master-teacher Michael Collander, whose experience with this material will quickly capture the imagination of each student. He leads students from many of the sites throughout Europe where events from the books occurred. Students will hear what the world thinks through street interviews, then be drawn back to Scripture and what God says.
- Not only will students be prepared to address the challenges of an unbelieving world in college and beyond, they will be prepared to engage it winsomely and convincingly. This is exactly what our Christian children need now. It’s what your children need. Learning from the Great Books, an historically effective way to educate and create thinkers, has never been easier.
- The Self-paced Omnibus courses are geared for 7th – 12th graders. Omnibus is a Latin term meaning “all encompassing.” Combining history, theology and literature, these courses help students grow in their appreciation of the unity of all knowledge. Each year offers two courses; the primary books course and the secondary books course. They can be taken separately, but taken together, students earn three credits—history, theology and literature.
- Learn from experts in each subject area
- Tour the locations where history occurred
- Be challenged by interactive exercises that require thinking, not just learning facts
- Interact with the Great Books, all from a Christian worldview
