As a stepping stone to Calculus I, Pre-Calculus helps students to solidify their understanding of algebra, as well as gaining a solid understanding of trigonometry. However, even if students aren’t interested in moving on to calculus, they will find this course to be a satisfying conclusion to their study of algebra. This course picks up where Algebra II leaves off with Paul Foerster’s text to finish the remainder of the book. After a rapid review of Algebra II, students will dive into new concepts including expansion on quadratic relations and systems, higher degree functions and complex numbers, sequences and series, probability, trigonometry, and advanced triangle problems.
