The Door in the Wall
Details
During the Middle Ages, young Robin finds himself suddenly stricken with a debilitating condition while the Plague rages through the town around him. Because of war, he is also alone, separated from his parents. A monk discovers Robin's situation and cares for him at the local monastery.
Robin, at first entitled and hot-tempered, learns to appreciate the little things in life and the kindness of others. His character grows as he discovers that opportunities are open doors through which to pass. Eventually, Robin risks his life to save his town and reunite with his parents.
This is an excellent lesson that, despite our weaknesses, it is our character that leads us, and that throughout life there is always a "door in the wall."
