Logic 2 - Veritas - Teacher Edition
Details
Logic focuses on finding and using good reasons for believing something's true. Logic 2, using the Veritas Press logic curriculum, focuses on formal logic. Students learn to analyze and construct arguments in symbolic language using deductive reasoning. Logic 2 builds on Logic 1’s treatment of the nature of truth, the means of knowing, and the justification of belief. It focuses, though, on the formal elements of categorical and propositional logics. Topics include syllogisms, symbolic language, truth tables, truth trees, proofs, and a brief introduction to debate concepts and skills. Studying logic is a vital part of learning to think well. This companion text to the student text provides guidance and suggestions on how to teach the student text, as well as tests and answers to exercises.
