History 1 - Good - You Teach

This is what we deem the "Good" option for History in 1st Grade. This option utilizes the "You Teach" method, which is a term we have coined for traditional, parent-taught homeschooling.

The Veritas approach has 1st graders begin to develop an appreciation for place and time beyond their personal experience.In this course students will continue to learn with Bede (pronounced “bead”)—they may have met Bede in kindergarten—an adorable timeline resembling a ball of yarn who teaches children about history in a fun way. In Bede's History of US 1st graders are introduced to American history. This is the perfect preparation for serious history study when students are ready. Also included is an intensive lap book project to learn about the state of the student.
