Grammar and Writing Transition - Good - You Teach

This is what we deem the "Good" option for Grammar & Writing in 7th Grade. This option utilizes the "You Teach" method, which is a term we have coined for traditional, parent-taught homeschooling.

Grammar and Writing Transition is designed for students who need a stronger foundation in the basics of English grammar before moving into Composition I. In this course, students learn the traditional and challenging exercise of sentence diagramming, which trains students to quickly analyze the structure of any given sentence. Students will survey all the major components of English grammar and examine and practice the important elements of writing. Successful completion of this course promises to prepare students for the rigors of Composition I and beyond. It is designed for students who have not previously had the traditional Grammar and Writing series of courses.
