Grammar & Writing 6 - Good - Classical Academic Press - You Teach

This is what we deem an alternative "Good" option for Grammar in 6th Grade. This option utilizes the "You Teach" method, which is a term we have coined for traditional, parent-taught homeschooling.

Using materials from Classical Academic Press, students will continue their grammar and writing journey here, in sixth grade. This curriculum is wonderful for students who may not have been reading fluently in first grade. The students will be totally prepared to begin Composition I in seventh grade even though they didn’t begin until third grade. This curriculum is designed for teachers and students to actively engage with each other and with the grammatical concepts in each lesson, using language skills—reading, writing, speaking, and listening—along with physical movement, songs, and chants. Through Well-Ordered Language’s unique, creative, and orderly method of analyzing the grammatical functions of the parts of speech, students will find the mastery of grammar achievable, meaningful, and delightful. Students will master the art of writing by using the Writing & Rhetoric curriculum.
